3D scans, impressions, and X-rays will be taken for an accurate diagnosis.
Tailored treatment to suit your aesthetics, lifestyle, and budget will be discussed.

SECOND VISIT

Preparation & Temporary Veneers

Temporary resin veneers are created to give you a preview of your new smile.
Adjustments made based on your feedback to perfect the design.
A scan of the temporary veneers is sent to the lab to our master ceramist to create your Custom Porcelain Veneers.

THIRD VISIT

Placement of Porcelain Veneers

Temporary veneers are removed, and Custom Porcelain Veneers are placed.
Final look and feel are discussed before securing the veneers with dental cement and a UV curing light, in some cases you will be able to wear your new Porcelain Veneers for a week or two before they are permanently cemented.

Are Porcelain Veneers right or me?

Porcelain veneers are used by dentists to improve the shape, size, and colour of the teeth. For those with stained teeth due to medical conditions or lifestyle habits, porcelain veneers are a recommended treatment. We advise getting an in-person consultation at the clinic to determine if the treatment is suitable for you. The consultation will give us a chance to assess your oral health and offer suitable treatment options.

Do my teeth need to be shaved down for veneers?

Our Veneers are Water-thin shells bonded to the front surface of your teeth. Your natural teeth therefore need a bit of preparation before the veneers can be placed so that they fit just right without appearing too bulky. You can rest assured that our skilled team of dentists make the treatment as minimally invasive and comfortable as possible. We will first assess your teeth to determine the amount of preparation needed to craft and place the veneers.

Am I a good candidate for Veneers?

Veneers are ideal for every person seeking a beautiful smile. Veneers address several dental issues and give you the chance to flaunt a smile you love. In some cases, however, this procedure may not be recommended. How suited you are for the treatment is better determined with an in-person consultation at our clinic.

Are porcelain veneers permanent?

Porcelain veneers are not strictly permanent — however once bonded to the teeth they can only be safely removed by a dentist. Just like natural teeth, veneers are not immune to damage or accidental damage, but with proper care, they can last for decades. At CLDC, we employ a minimally invasive approach to veneers, meaning we avoid reducing natural tooth structure as much as possible. In some cases, if teeth require a significant reduction of natural tooth enamel or have considerable wear or damage before being veneered, then your options may be limited as to whether veneers can be removed in the future and left un-replaced. In these circumstances, a dental crown may be more appropriate – which can be used in combination with veneers when designing a new smile. In many cases, we would also discuss clear braces followed by some minor bonding or porcelain veneers placed once your teeth are straight.

How much do porcelain veneers cost in Melbourne?

Porcelain veneers cost between $1500 to $3,000 per tooth to suit more patients’ needs and budgets.
