Providing exceptional care to patients for over 15 years, Dr Houman Larijani is our resident implant expert and a talented dental surgeon with expansive experience and education in oral surgery, implantology and complex dentistry.
His surgeries range in complexity from placement of single implants to whole-mouth rehabilitation. Having performed over 1,000 implant surgeries, Houman is well versed in a wide range of surgical techniques. At the forefront of Dr Larijani’s practice is ensuring his patients understand the different treatment options available to them. His gentle and friendly nature puts even the most anxious of patients at ease as he provides them with the gentlest treatment possible with the highest standard of results.
Graduating with top honours in 2006 and the highest GPA in dentistry ever achieved at the Gilan University of Medical Sciences, Houman was immediately drawn to the world of complex oral surgery, working as a general dentist in a specialist maxillofacial clinic.
After moving to Australia in 2010, Houman quickly passed the rigorous ACD registration exams and began practicing publicly as a Senior Dental Officer in regional Victoria. During that time he also completed his Masters of Public Health at Curtin University, which saw his unique research published in the International Journal of Dentistry.
Having also completed postgraduate training in oral surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics, the highly-trained Dr Larijani is in high demand – now working in private practice as a visiting implant surgeon across Melbourne. He has served as a clinical mentor for newly graduated dentists and is also in the final stages of candidacy for his fellowship in the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRCDS).
From a highly academic family of doctors, engineers, professors and lawyers, Houman’s continued love of research sees him writing papers and articles whenever he gets the chance. When he needs a break from academia and surgery, his passion for car racing and the great outdoors keeps him occupied. He loves nothing more than testing the upper limits of his toys around the Phillip Island racetrack or heading off-road with his family for a camping adventure.

Daniel is a highly skilled and accomplished general dentist with surgical experience, having completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Melbourne’s Royal Dental Hospital. Daniel also serves as a clinical demonstrator, performing live procedures for final year dental students. He is also honourary researcher at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Daniel’s personable and gentle nature helps his patient’s feel at ease and comfortable. Daniel clearly and carefully consults with patients to ensure they understand how to achieve optimum outcomes. On weekends you’ll likely find Daniel keeping active outdoors, either hiking, running or cycling.

Peter has been involved with dentistry for over 20 years. Having run a number of businesses including dental and medical technology companies, Peter has extensive experience in leadership, staff training and the management of dental practices.
