My crown keeps falling off — is there a more permanent solution?

Why Do I keep Getting Dental Problems?

Usually, crowns don’t fall off.If the same crown keeps falling off its best to check with your dentist or seek a second opinion. The most common reasons are:

  1. crown did not fit as well as it should when it was first inserted, therefore leaking of fluid/debris weakens and dissolves the cement
  2. too little natural tooth present, not enough for appropriate crown retention
  3. the tooth underneath has decay,
  4. the cement used may not be suitable for the particular material/tooth preparation
  5. tooth grinding creating excessive stress on the crown, may break the tooth or affect the integrity of the cement
